"Starting August 1, 2008, the LOFI will require all companies currently holding residential mortgage broker/lender/wholesale licenses and all individuals holding a residential mortgage originator’s license to use the NMLS and input your records into the NMLS by December 1, 2008. Licensees may enter their licensing information into the NMLS, save it, and then officially submit the information beginning Friday, August 1, 2008. Existing companies may add new originators and/or submit transfers with paper applications through July 31, 2008.
